Charities Supported

Adis Ababa School In Ethiopia

Proceeds from Crossways Consulting website and Dr Darryl Cross provide for a charity that is overseas in Ethiopia. Through a good friend of ours (Dr Carolyn Roesler) who is a doctor and who was working in Dubai for a number of years, we have been introduced to a school that she started in Addis Ababa in Ethiopia. The school is called Raey and can be found at https://www.raeyfoundation.org.

In October 2010, we were fortunate enough to visit with the doctor and were privileged to see the work that has been done bearing in mind that the school started from nothing. These people live in real poverty. And they are so, so grateful for the assistance provided.

Today this school is giving hope to 120 students who are being given an education as well as at least one wholesome meal in a day. (Sadly, there are thousands on the waiting list.)

Youth Opportunities

At the local level, Dr Darryl Cross is a Life Member of the Youth Opportunities Association (YO) which is a not-for-profit organisation that was established in 1997. It works in partnership with schools and other organisations to provide young people with Personal Leadership Training (PLT).

The intensive 10 week Personal Leadership Program is delivered by two trainers working one day per week for a school term with a group of 12-20 students. Not only is there a face-to-face program, but there is an on-line delivery as well, both of which focus on providing critical life skills for adolescents in terms of setting goals, achieving a positive mindset and communicating effectively.

It is amazing how, given the opportunity, young people are able to transform their lives and be proud of who they are and who they have become. It is truly inspirational. More information is available at

Engage Work Faith

This is a non-denominational group whose vision is to reach the world through the workplace allowing people to
understand who Jesus Christ really is and his role in their life. How does Jesus' command to "love your neighbour" translate into the modern office, the retail showroom or the factory floor? Is the Christian worldview still relevant in this day and age? Some say that the world seems like it's going mad, so is there an answer to what's happening on our planet?

Crossways Consulting supports the work of this organisation not only through donations to its work, but Dr Cross presently resides on the Board of this organisation assisting in general governance and counsel.
